We are proud to announce our first ever Cider Makers Dinner! Join head cidermaker, Alison Round, for an evening featuring dinner, cider pairings, and to be the first to try our newly released Squamish Heirloom Cider. Head Chef Madeline Ungurain has been hard at work preparing a four-course dinner, featuring Kabocha Squash Soup, Beet Carpaccio, Crispy Pork Belly, and a Rosewater Rhubarb Tart, with each course being paired with one of our carefully crafted small batch ciders.
One of the evening pairings will be the first release of our Squamish Heirloom Cider. Last fall, we worked with SOLscapes and our friends in the Sea to Sky to bring in any excess apples growing in the area for us to make into cider! SOLscapes helps facilitate a fruit rescue program in Squamish to collect excess fruit. As you may know, bears will always remember the location of a food source, and this obviously causes issues for their (and our) safety! It’s a great program that ensures the community can enjoy the fruits it has grown and save the lives of our local bears.
